pooh and friends Mural

Tuesday, August 5th, 2008

Two happy little girls have their favorite lovable Disney characters in their room.  Completed in just 10 hours, the Pooh and Friends Mural was heaps of fun to design and paint.  Incorporating all the characters was challenging, nonetheless I am extremely pleased with Roo on the swing and Tigger bouncing on his tail around Pooh’s House.  Enjoy.

Dr. Chris Maulik Surf Theme Office

Sunday, August 3rd, 2008

To help settle into the beach life of Encinitas, using Craigslist, I bought a used “fish” surfboard.  The board is amazing in smaller summer surf and more importantly the previous owner, Chris, and I have been finding the time to explore the many breaks up and down the coast.  Chris also happened to be looking for surf art for his business, Scripps Poway Orthodontics, to brighten up the place and reflect a theme he can relate to while working away from the beach.  www.scrippsortho.com        The office plans to continually show my art and as they sale I will paint new Surf Theme paintings for the office to display.  The staff at Scripps Poway Orthodontics are friendly to work with and excited about the new Surf Theme Office to be finished late Summer.

Ceramic Cafe Installation

Sunday, April 27th, 2008

Ceramic Cafe, Del Mar, CA, asked to feature my art this summer in their recently remodeled store.  They even had me paint a plate and water pitcher while I was visiting.  We cranked the tunes, opened a bottle of wine and painted into the night.  With the doors wide open, allowing the fresh air to pass through, I was amazed by the amount of fun we all were having while painting ceramics.  The store owners have created a charming, inspirational and relaxing environment to paint in, especially for all types and ages of artists.Check out the photos below of a Wave, Panda, Sailor plate, and a Koi fish water pitcher. http://ceramicafe.com/home.html
